She often teaches General Chemistry I and II (CHM 101 and 102), Biochemistry I and II (CHM 318 and 320), Advanced Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Laboratory Techniques (BIO 315), and Immunology (BIO 306). She also serves as a research mentor for biology, biochemistry, and chemistry senior capstone projects.Sarachan holds a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Cornell University. Her personal research interests focus on methods development in structural biology, particularly software development for biological small-angle x-ray and neutron scattering studies.
