Wednesday October 10 from 9-9:30 a.m. in Allen Auditorium Dr. Matthew Diltz McBride received his Ph.D. from the University of Cincinnati, his M.F.A. from Bowling Green State University, and his B.A. from Capital University. He specializes in composition and creative writing. His first book, City of Incandescent Light, was published by Black Lawrence Press in May, 2018. He is the recipient of a Devine Fellowship, a George Elliston Fellowship, an Ohio Arts Council Grant, and a Writers in the Heartland residency. His scholarly interests include composition pedagogy, cultural theory, Marxism, and psychoanalysis (specifically the intersections with psychoanalysis and social media). Further, Dr. McBride spends his summers teaching at an agricultural college in Wuhan, China and has been studying Mandarin. Undergraduate Academics English
