The Foundry, at 100 South Main Street in downtown Chambersburg, will host an exhibition of artwork by our studio art and graphic design students. The show will open on February 3 and continue through March 5, 2023. The event is free and open to the public. Wilson’s history as a community partner dates to the institution’s founding in 1869. And her commitment to rich and meaningful local partnerships continues and evolves as the community grows and changes. This exhibition is the seventh show in an ongoing collaboration between The Foundry and Wilson. As a grass-roots, artist-led organization, The Foundry has a vision and mission to encourage local art and artists by fostering local partnerships. Together, the College, our department of Arts and Letters, and the Foundry promote critical and creative thinking through artistic exploration and expression and provide venues for the exhibition of creative works of art that educate, inspire, and provide a framework for the cultural expression of local and regional artists. The partnership provides opportunities for exhibition exchanges. Foundry artists exhibit their artwork at the College each fall, and Wilson students have the chance to exhibit at The Foundry each spring.
