ESS 245 Physiology of Exercise Study of the function of the different body systems relative to exercise. Emphasis on scientific theories and principles underlying the development of strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. Practical application of course content in terms of conditioning and training. Lecture and laboratory. Prerequisites: BIO 101, 102 and 207; and CHM 101, 102, 201 and 202; or permission of instructor.
