The concert will take place at 3:00pm in Thomson Chapel, followed by a complimentary reception in Lenfest Commons. Dr. David McCalla is an outstanding organist whose love for music began at the early age of nine years. He studied privately and also at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music where he earned a Master of Music degree as well as a Ph.D. in Music Education with organ as his principal study area. He studied organ with Dr. Arden Whitacre, the internationally recognized organist who was the stu- dent of the greatest Belgian organist, Flor Peeters. McCalla has also passed the hymn playing examination given by the American Guild of Organists.
