Criteria for Admission into the Program as a First-Year Student Students who wish to participate in the B.A. / M.A. in the Humanities 3+1 Program must reflect the following criteria at the time of admission into Wilson College as a first-year student: a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) at the time of admission; a minimum of 15 units of college preparatory work in high school completed, including four each of English and social studies/history; Algebra I and II and geometry; two laboratory sciences; and two years of a foreign language achieved from a regionally accredited school an intent to declare a major in one of English concentrations Wilson College offers; a written statement in addition to the already required admissions writing sample that details the student’s intended course of study and goals for the degree. Homeschooled and cyber-schooled students also must demonstrate SAT results of 500 Verbal and 500 Math or a 22 ACT Composite.
