On Tuesday, February 13, Ela Rossmiller, Assistant Professor of Political Science and The Louise Howell ’38 Faculty Research Fund Winner (Summer 2023) will present "Framing Reparations in Poland". It will be held in Lenfest Learning Commons on the first floor of John Stewart Memorial Library on the Wilson College campus.Poland’s Law of 20 March 2015 represents a unique approach to rehabilitation and compensation programs for victims of human rights abuses. It frames reparative justice using two competing logics: social welfare based on need and veterans’ benefits based on merit. This presentation explores what led to this unique approach.
