Anxiety is the invisible stressor that impacts millions of college students across the country and here at Wilson. This talk will discuss some of the greatest needs of college students today and how we as a college community can help support one another as we grow. Mary Beth Williams, Ph.D. Vice President for Student Development & Dean of Students, Wilson College Dr. Mary Beth Williams has served as the vice president for student development and dean of students at Wilson College since 2014. Dr. Williams received a BA in English from Rhodes College, an MS in Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Memphis, and a PHD in Higher Education Administration from The University of Southern Mississippi completing a dissertation on the impact of emotional intelligence on college student retention. In her over 18 years of working with college students, her focus has been on empowering students through experiential leadership and creating innovative programs to increase student retention.
