Bio

Alexandra is an Instructor of Psychology at Wilson College. Her research focuses on prejudice and discrimination from a social psychological perspective, specifically in the areas of racial justice and feminist psychology. Her current research is exploring why people who identify as anti-racist don’t speak out against racism more frequently.  She is also exploring the implications of food insecurity for college students, which affects students of color and women at higher rates than their white or male counterparts, respectively. Alexandra also recently served as a Racial Justice Associate at the Office of Peacebuilding and Policy for the Church of the Brethren in Washington D.C. She examined the intersection of food insecurity and community gardens using a racial equity lens. She also completed a series of anti-racist educational programming: Racial Justice as Peacebuilding.
