Be a Confident and Well-Trained Equine ProfessionalThe focus of the equine studies program is to provide the theoretical learning in the classroom, skill-based learning in the barn or arena, and on-site practical application of learning as student-teachers, trainers, and managers.Equine Studies MajorsEquine-Facilitated Therapeutics or Equine Studies with concentrations of either Equine Management or Teaching and Training, allow students to focus their coursework on their specific career goals. Upon graduation, students will have successfully expanded their practical knowledge and experience through traditional classroom learning, hands-on application of skills in the stables and arenas, mentored teaching opportunities, equitation classes in either English or western disciplines, and direct contact with the horses at the College’s on-campus equestrian center.
