Van Looy Organ Series: Dan Miller

A church organist since age fifteen, Dan Miller has served at several notable churches. At Calvary Church in Charlotte, NC, he presided over the world’s thirteenth largest pipe organ; at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale, FL, he served as assistant organist to Diane Bish. Currently Dan is the organist for St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Beaverton, OR. He also serves many churches nationwide as guest organist for their worship services. Mr. Miller holds a Church Music Diploma from Moody Bible Institute.

Barbara Masters: Master Class

Barbara Masters has had an extensive career as a performer, church organist, accompanist, teacher, musical theater director, and composer. Ms. Masters has performed concerts in the U.S. and abroad, most recently with the Visitation Choir at Notre Dame in Paris, in Rome, and in Assisi. Join us for a FREE master class on the organ and piano taught by Barbara Masters.

Lunch and Learn – NASA’s InSight and the Deep Space Atomic Clock

Hear Wilson Professor, Chad Lower, tell you about what's new at NASA. 

Deep Space Atomic Clock: NASA has built an atomic clock they hope to use on future missions. In October or November 2018, it will launch into an orbit around the earth for about a year while they continue testing the clock. Current launch date looks like November 19.
 
InSight Landing on Mars: The spacecraft InSight was launched May 2018 en route to Mars. It should arrive at Mars and land November 26, 2018.
