Learn about:

Las Posadas

Las Posadas, a Mexican Christmas tradition, will return to Wilson College on Thursday, Dec. 6, beginning at the Brooks Science Complex. Free and open to the public, the event will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Las Posadas is a re-enactment of the story of Christ’s birth, following the journey Joseph and Mary made from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a refuge where Mary could give birth to the baby Jesus. When they were unable to find lodging in Bethlehem, Joseph and Mary sought shelter in a stable, where Jesus was born.

Poverty Simulation

Could you survive a month in poverty? What choices would you make if you had little money to spare?

The Poverty Simulation is a unique experience designed for participants to gain a deeper understanding of what low income families experience on a daily basis. Learn about the impact of poverty on our community, increasing collaboration, and exciting local efforts to break the cycle of poverty.

Glass Room Experience

The Glass Room Experience is a portable, pop-up exhibition on data and privacy. Through art objects and apps, issues around online privacy and data collection are made accessible and tangible: see the scale of the company behind the platform you use every day, understand what data can be gleaned from your selfie, and figure out what you’re agreeing to with the privacy policies you rarely read.
