Our Bachelor of Science degree in entrepreneurship exposes students to the many areas that have stymied new businesses – and strategies to successfully overcome those obstacles.  A program in entrepreneurship has to cover all the aspects of a business because many entrepreneurs start out trying to do everything.  As the business grows, the entrepreneur can afford the luxury of delegating to others.

According to www.entrepreneur.com, fewer than half of new businesses make it to their fifth year.  What that statistic doesn’t reveal is what happens to the owners of those businesses that don’t continue.  Usually, they end up better off than they were before starting a business.  Many businesses get purchased by a larger corporation.  Many owners get jobs offers that are too good to pass up.  Some owners get ideas for better businesses to start because of what they learn by running their business.

Why Study Entrepreneurship?

Of course, entrepreneurs want their businesses to succeed and thrive.  Getting a well-rounded business education increases the odds of success.  Thinking about potential problems and preparing for them can make success more likely.  Testing out ideas in an academic setting, before committing to financial resources to them, is a wise idea.

Career Paths

First and foremost, the entrepreneurship graduate is looking to start their own business.  That business can be solo or with partners.
