Institute for Retired Persons The institute brings in speakers from local and wider areas to discuss topics such as music, literature, nature, history, art, politics, the military, computers, local communities, hobbies… a true potpourri. Ellen’s mother, Priscilla Van Looy, donated the total cost for the rebuilding of the console and relays of the Moller organ. This year The Common Hour is focused on cross-disciplinary intersections of food production and consumption, with an eye toward showing the multiple perspectives necessary for the study of how we eat, and the consequences of that choice.
